Even though we aren’t an Irish bar, this place is owned and operated by an Irishman…so we are gonna celebrate as if we are the biggest and bestest IRISH BAR in Arbutus! We have Guinness, Smithwicks, Bushmills, Jamesons, Irish Mist and more. No other bar around these parts can claim the same. DJ O’Remedy will be spinning Irish ditties and huge dishes of corned beef and hash will be flying through the restaurant and concert pavilion. Free trinkets, t-shirts, hats and what-not will be given out to those with the most Irish Spirit. All green draft beers are 2 bucks, too. See you at the HEAD!

Quothe the Raven Fan – “What the hell is going on with this team?” Even the diehard fans are skeptics these days. Not a cheap-ass bucket of beers or the awesome Baby Back Ribs on Special could make me (or anyone else) feel any better about this confounding team! I know, I know, we’re 5-2. Shut the hell up! We ain’t goin to the playoffs with Cam at the wheel people. It’s time we take action and do a OWS on the Castle…Let’s do a OBC (Occupy Bisciotti’s Castle) until Cam is GONE! AMEN! HALLELUJAH!

Now that Autumn is almost upon us, the mornings are cooler so my OLD BAY Bloody Mary stays colder longer. The afternoons are still sunny and warm though, which makes for a great time watching my favorite college football teams play pinball with their bodies while I hold on tightly to my Black and Blue pint o’ beer (how fitting, eh?). The chilluns are off to school so I can stick around here at the bar longer and hang with the folks while snapping back a few 16oz. Margaritas – fresh from the OASIS machine no less. We just got in a orange juicer to make fresh squeezed ORANGE CRUSHES, too….yummmmmy SOB’s they are! I’m going to hang on to that Summer breeze in the evenings as long as I can though – it’s my all time favorite time of the day in my all time favorite time of the year- because it still depresses me to think that I will soon no longer be able to hang out on our Garden Oasis Deck here at Fish Head and just relax and enjoy the company of my customers, the sweet alcoholic libations, and the smells of  my cook’s special of the day wafting out over us all.

Autumn and Winter are my favorite times of year to drink good dark draft beers and oakey, aged scotch or bourbon. Don’t exactly know why that is, but it seems to give me a better frame of mind seeing as I really, really HATE to be cold!   So bring on my beloved RAVENS, my alma mater TERPS teams, the English Premier League soccer matches, my stinky sweaters, my comfortable lounger in front of a tiny ass flat screen TV - it’s all good in the end, because I know Summer will come again and life will soon again feel as light as the beach sand tightly packed up my ass! Now that’s an image you probably didn’t really need to think about at this juncture, did you? Fuck if I care…

It’s time for our annual tribute to a fallen hero of ours SHANE KEPPLEY! He’s been gone for 3 years but his legend lives on through our yearly tribute to him! This year we have 165 1/2 , Bond & Bentley, Strangeroom, and 5 more local bands playing from 2pm-2am in our PARADISE CONCERT PAVILION. 1/2 Price Natty Bohs, Eats specials, Dunking tank, 50/50 raffles and a whole lotta shenanigans goin on! Monster burgers, Philly Cheesesteaks, Crab Pretzels, Cuban Sandwiches and about 40 other items are available to fill the beer bellies throughout the day! The next time you stop into the Fish Head Cantina take a minute to notice our new beer tap system. We have a brand new state-of-the-art draft process that keeps the beer colder and allows us to serve 12 different beers of varying styles and tastes.
